Say Thank You to Your Children’s Teachers

Posted by Stuck On You on May 26, 2010  |  1 Comment

The end of the school year is approaching quickly and it will be time for your children to say good-bye to their teachers who they’ve been with all year long.

A special way to say thank you and be remembered is a personalized gift that can be used for years to come. Teachers are notorious for having well-organized classrooms, so help them take their organization to the next level with personalized labels!

Teachers can label everything from their desk supplies to remote controls for their smart boards to books that belong in their classroom.

If your child’s teacher is really special to you and likes to cook, perhaps you want to consider a set of Kitchen Labels wrapped up with a cookbook.

Also include handwritten note of thanks for taking special care of your little scholarship.

The Kitchen Labels are also ideal for housewarming or hostess gifts.  Stocking up on them is a surefire way to always have a quick gift on hand for visits to friend’s homes over the summer vacation or when you attend a dinner party. Combine with your favorite gourmet jam, a bottle of wine or a homemade dessert for a unique gift. Each set includes more than 80 peel-and-stick labels. Stuck on You labels are the detail that everyone’s kitchen cupboards have been missing, until now.

Make Life Easier with an Elder Care Pack!

Posted by Stuck On You on February 24, 2010  |  No Comments

We know of a simple way to keep track of parent’s and grandparent’s belongings.

We know you’re busy and if you’re taking care of children and parents, you need a simple way to make life easy by keeping track of their belongings.

Labeling is especially practical in a care facility where your loved one may reside. In an assisted living situation, a nursing home or hospital, identifying personal belongings is key to making life easier for your loved one. Labeling offers seniors peace of mind that personal belongings will stay with them, not get mixed up, and will be returned if misplaced.

So we don’t leave Grandma and Grandpa out, we’ve introduced the new Elder Care Pack. The pack is a combination of labels designed specifically for helping seniors. Here are some of the ways the labels help:

  • Helpful in preventing laundry mix-ups
  • Helpful in identifying high-cost medical equipment such as walkers, chairs, canes and the like
  • Helpful for seniors with dementia or memory impairment
  • Useful for care-givers

When it comes to laundry, labeling could mean the difference between a cherished item being returned or forever misplaced. Make certain dad’s favorite robe or mom’s favorite sweater is returned to them by labeling all clothing items. Other common items that tend to get misplaced include eyeglass cases, books or television remote controls. Placing labels on these items makes it easier for a caregiver to return it to the rightful owner. Labeling also ensures the time they spend with an elderly resident is not wasted looking for lost items

The Elder Care Pack includes 25 Big Name Labels, 50 Clothing Labels, and 25 Name Dots. The labels come in a variety of colors with a choice of highly-visible icons for easy identification.

  • Easy to peel & stick, even for arthritic hands
  • Easy to read typefaces
  • Easy to recognize thanks to bold icons and colors

Whether used for a permanent move to a communal living environment, a temporary stay at a hospital or for daily use in their own home, the Elder Care Pack can reassure loved ones that their possessions are safe and sound.

Put a smile on your loved ones face by giving them the gift of personalized labels!

The Sandwich Generation: How Labeling Helps

Posted by Stuck On You on December 28, 2009  |  2 Comments

senior RxMany of us are finding ourselves with the dual responsibilities of taking care of our elderly parents along with raising young children. It only takes one frantic phone call from a parent in an assisted living home looking for lost clothing to turn a relatively stress-free morning into chaos.

Consider labels that provide useful and valuable service to aging parents–and their caregivers–by helping them:

  • Keep track of clothing where collective laundry is done for residents, and put an end to laundry mix-ups.
  • Protect the investment in high-priced medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, canes, braces and bath safety seats by adhering a label to every item.
  • Find belongings easier by crafting big, bold easy-to-read labels with vibrant colors to place on room keys, TV remotes, valuables, shaving kits, hairbrushes, toiletries, small electronics and phones, books, eyeglasses and cases, and much more. Our Big Vinyl or Jumbo Dot labels are great for these purposes.
  • For seniors with dementia or other memory problems, customize labels with a unique icon. Studies have shown that pictures and symbols are easier to recognize than words.
  • Labels help the residents keep track of their own items and help employees identify the owners of items.

Labels Help Good Samaritans Do Their Job

Posted by Stacey Crew on November 10, 2009  |  No Comments

Depending upon who you talk to, there are usually two schools of thought when it comes to the question: Do good Samaritans really exist? There are those who will tell you unequivocally that there’s no such thing; that given the opportunity, people will not do the right thing. That if a wallet was found on the side of the road, the finder would pocket the money and toss the wallet.phones

On the other hand, there’s the other group—the one Stuck on You is a member—that whole heartedly believes that good Samaritans are everywhere! In fact, we can help those good neighbors show kindness by making sure our belongings are labeled in the event we lose something.

When it comes to lost and found items, we have real customer stories to share with you today that all demonstrate people doing  good deeds and acting as good Samaritans:

Cathy, our Sales Agent Coordinator, put a name dot on the outside of her daughter’s wallet. They were traveling home from vacation and Cathy’s daughter had put the wallet in the seat front of the airplane and forgot about it. A few days after they arrived home, her daughter was searching for her wallet. Obviously, they couldn’t find it but had no idea where she’d left it. A few WEEKS later, they received a call from the airline (Spirit Air). Turns out one of the flight attendants found the wallet and matched the name on the label to the flight manifest. A few days later, the wallet was received in the mail with ALL its contents, including the cash!

In Hong Kong, a customer called our Stuck on You offices saying that she picked up a camera from the airport express train, which only had our Stuck on You label on it with the owner’s name and the smiley icon. She told the customer service agent that she recognized the purple vinyl label as being one of our’s! The agent was was able to pull up that customer’s information in the system just by conducting a name search. The Stuck on You customer was happy when the agent called her to let her know her camera had been found! Our labels certainly have made an impression in our customer’s minds!

A USA customer, Sara, recently reported that while at college, her USB flash drive has been returned to her several times, after she’d left it in one of the college computers. It was returned because she had our Stuck on You mini vinyl label on it, which made it possible for a good Samaritan to get it back to her!

A good Samaritan cannot return your cherished and valuable property if it is not properly labeled. Be one, and help one to help you! What are your thoughts? Do you believe in good Samaritans?
